Agreement to these terms

These Terms govern access to the Helix website, dashboard, and Discord bot. By using Helix, you agree to these terms and to Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and applicable laws. If you do not agree, do not use Helix. If you use Helix on behalf of a server, you confirm that you have authority to bind that server and its members to these terms.

Eligibility and server permissions

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. Discord users who are below the age of digital consent in their location must not use Helix without valid authorization from a parent or legal guardian. Adding or configuring Helix requires the Discord owner or an administrator with the necessary server permissions. You are responsible for managing Helix permissions and removing it when it is no longer needed.

Acceptable use

You must not use Helix to harass, threaten, stalk, spam, impersonate, evade Discord enforcement, distribute malware, conduct fraud, infringe intellectual property, break laws, or interfere with the operation or security of Helix. You must not attempt unauthorized access, probe infrastructure, circumvent rate limits, scrape private data, abuse OAuth or developer endpoints, or use Helix to build a deceptive or harmful service.

You must not use Helix to process content or personal data unlawfully, to target vulnerable people, or in a way that violates another person’s privacy, safety, or rights. Server administrators are responsible for configuring moderation, logging, AI, and other features lawfully and for reviewing the data those features expose to server members.

Your content and permissions

You keep ownership of content and data you submit to Discord or provide through Helix. You grant Helix only the limited rights needed to receive, process, transmit, and display that content to provide the feature you requested. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to submit the content. Helix does not claim ownership of your server, messages, or files.

AI and automated features

AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable, or unavailable. Do not rely on Helix AI output for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or other high-stakes decisions without independent verification. You are responsible for reviewing prompts, outputs, moderation actions, and any downstream use of Helix automation.

Service availability and changes

Helix is provided on an as-available and as-is basis. We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free operation. Discord, hosting, network, AI, search, media, and other third-party services may be unavailable or change independently. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, or respond to abuse, with reasonable notice where practical.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Helix or remove it from a server at any time. We may limit or suspend access for violations, security risks, abuse, nonpayment of any applicable premium service, or legal requirements. We may also remove Helix from a server or restrict a user when necessary to protect the service or others. You may appeal a restriction by contacting team@helix.angellabs.xyz.

Third-party services

Helix may link to or depend on Discord, Cloudflare, hosting, AI, search, media, and other third-party services. Their terms, availability, and privacy practices also apply. Helix is not responsible for third-party services or content that you or another person submits to them.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Helix Labs disclaims implied warranties, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Helix Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or service interruption, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and contact

We may revise these Terms. The date at the top identifies the latest version, and material changes will be announced through the support server or another appropriate Helix channel. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms. Questions may be sent to team@helix.angellabs.xyz or the support server.
